Mepilex Border Lite 7.5×7.5cm (10). Mepilex Border Lite is an absorbent foam pad coated with a soft silicone layer, designed for a wide range of exuding wounds such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and traumatic wounds such as skin tears and secondary healing wounds.. Also suitable for use under compression bandaging, due to its absorption properties. Consists of a soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac), a flexible absorbent pad of polyurethane foam and an outer film which is vapor permeable and waterproof. Mepilex absorbs exudate, maintains a moist wound-healing environment and minimises the risk of maceration. Saftetac is a patented soft silicone adhesive technology which assures non-sticking and minimal trauma on removal from wound, even in critical situations where the exudate starts to dry out.
